Privacy policy

Last updated 26 August 2026. This policy explains what the operator of mostexpensive.love (“we”) collects when you visit the site or buy a love note.

Who we are

mostexpensive.love is a digital leaderboard of paid love notes. Contact: hello@mostexpensive.love.

What we collect

  • Love notes you submit: the name, message, optional from-name, and the amount paid. These are published on the public board.
  • Payments: processed by Stripe. We receive payment status, amount, and a checkout identifier. Card numbers are handled by Stripe, not stored on this server.
  • Technical data: IP address and a coarse visitor count, used to run the “online / visitors” counter and to limit abuse.
  • Theme: light/dark preference can be stored in your browser (localStorage). That is not sent to our server.

What we do not do

  • We do not create user accounts or passwords.
  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not use your love note to email the person you named. There is no notification to them unless they find the public page.

Legal bases

If you are in the EEA or UK: publishing a note you paid for is a contract. Visitor counts and abuse prevention are our legitimate interest in running a public site. You may ask what data we hold, to correct it, or to erase it where the law allows — public paid notes may stay if they are the record of the purchase, unless a legal takedown applies.

Processors

Stripe processes payments. Hosting and logs stay on the server that runs this website. If we later use Google Ads measurement, that is described in the cookie policy.
